#3: Alor Setar, Kedah
It takes approximately 6 hours to travel from Klang to Alor Setar. OMG! I can't believe that I actually traveled 11 hours on bus in a day!
Plently of dim sum there. A nice place for a full breakfast. Remember to come oh~
Since Kedah is our country main rice producer, a visit to the Paddy Museum is a must!
Visited the observatory on the 1st floor of the museum. There is a huge mural on the life of the people there. Take a seat on the rotating platform and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Due to the extremely hot weather at Alor Setar, we decided to stay indoor and hang out in places with air-con. Visited Pusat Sains Negara, which is located next to the Paddy Museum. Although this Science Center wasn't as equipped as those at PetroSains or Pusat Sains at KL, we still managed to spend few hours there!
Ok..It's time for me to share about my adventurous trip during the semester break. Lovena came back Muar together with me and we stayed 2 days in Muar. We then headed to our 1st Station - Kuantan, Pahang.
The Adventure Begins...
It takes 5 hours for us to travel from Muar to Kuantan. The road on the way to Kuantan was 'bengkang-bengkok'. Passed by Tangkak, Segamat and other places to reach Kuantan. My cousin picked us up at the bus terminal when we arrived. After that, me and Lovena managed to meet up with Si Mei and her crazy gang!
Later in the evening, my aunt brought us for a buffet dinner at Swiss Garden Resort. Really thank my aunt for this good meal!
A must go place in Kuantan - Teluk Cempedak. Wow~The beach is so beautiful!
Headed to Sungai Lembing in the afternoon.
A brief history about Sungai Lembing:
Sungai Lembing was one of the largest tin (bijih timah) production in Pahang. There was a British village named Lembah Sungai Kenau in this place.
There's a Rainbow Waterfall and a Crystal House at Sungai Lembing as well. But we didn't get to visit those places.
Sungai Lembing was indeed a very 'ulu' place. Very kampung..However, I kinda liked this place. Very peaceful & harmony. And the people there are very friendly!
Remember to pump up your vehicle's oil tang before Sunday coz this petrol kiosk is CLOSE on Sunday.
There wasn't much special food in Kuantan. Mostly Malay food. This is because the population in Kuantan were mostly Malays.
Say Goodbye to Kuantan!! We then traveled west to Klang to meet up with Jie Ying. It takes another 5 hours to reach Klang!
Yeah!! I've finally tasted Klang Bak Kut Teh! Bak Kut Teh Mission Accomplish!! Klang Bak Kut Teh was really NICE! Thumbs Up! Tried Dry Bak Kut Teh as well, yum yum~
We were overjoyed when we found out that Bar BQ Plaza had a branch at Klang. Miss it so much~
Jie Ying then joined us for the trip and we headed north to find Junne...

Now is Makan Time!!
Tasted lotz of good food in Kuching. There are simply too much good food and we just don't have enough time to try all! In order to try as many food as possible, we ended up moving from place to place and ate several times 4 a single meal!
These are Kuching's Signature Dishes....
Midin, wild fern found only in Sarawak.
Mixture of Beverage, seldom found this is Peninsular also.
From left: Sugar Cane + Lime, Sugar Cane + Coconut, Barley + Coconut
Aren't those labels confusing?? Better update those labels to give visitors a clear description.
Gosh!! Found this kinda ridiculous & funny. What kinda toilet is this when a person is not allowed to poo? Hahaha...
Finally...
This trip won't be a success without our "Hot & Sexy Organizer" with her "Strategic Plans"! Thanks Lovena for the accommodation, transportation & the efforts for bringing us around her territory. Will definitely make a trip to Kuching next time!

-THE END-
-Day 6-
Dropped by Green Mountain Temple, Muara Tebas before heading to Bako National Park.
Since I don't worship the idols and not folding joss papers, I might as well wandering around the temple and snapped some pictures while observing the rest of them.
We moved on further to Bako National Park....
Although it was drizzling that time, we were allowed to take a boat ride to Bako National Park coz the tide was low.
The wind is strong and the boat ride was kinda thrilling as the wave comes...
Walking towards the bank as it was difficult for the boat to reach the jetty due to the low tide condition
Felt like I'm in China coz the buildings in this garden were designed using China's ancient building style.
Alright, this is totally embarrassing & crazy but who cares!! Nobody knows us in Kuching. Wakaka....Beh song pergi Jalan Song~Song Song pun boleh pergi Jalan Song.
Since me & Junne loves the name of this jalan so much, we both run over the street just to took picture with the signboard. In fact, it was Mei San that suggested us to do so.
Wondering the Chinese name of Jalan Song. Is it called 爽路(shuang lu)? Hahaha...surprisingly it is not! It's called 桑路(sang lu). I can imagine Lovena's beh tahan face with our crazy behavior!!
Hang around at Carpenter's Street. There are indeed lotz of furniture shops along this street, I guess this is how the street get it's name. Souvenir shops and food stalls can be found along the street.
Later at night, sent Junne & Mei Fern to the airport as they went back 1 day earlier than the rest of us.
-Day 8-
Went out for brunch, packed our stuff and prepared ourselves back in the evening...
