Cutie-Cutie Camp
Volunteered myself to help out in a HandiCamp at Bethany Home, Teluk Intan end of May. They organised a 3D2N Cutie-cutie Camp for children at Cameron Highland. Decided to went for this camp because:

1. My sister invited me to go along with her.
2. Wonder what makes my sister go there so often? What's the attraction there?
3. Curious about the activities they will had for those special children? Organising a camp for normal people wasn't easy, what more is a camp for disabled children!
4. The weather is so damn HOT here. Really can't tahan! Prefer cooling weather at highland. Cameron Highland will be a good choice!
5. Nothing much for me to do at home, haven found a part time job yet! Might as well go look see look see lo. Hehe..

Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. It is slanted leftward. The tower was originally used as a water tank to store portable water during dry season and used as a time keeper as there is a huge clock on top of the tower.

Went to Teluk Intan 2 days earlier b4 the camp. It was the opening of Giant Hypermarket on the day I arrived there. Managed to meet up with my coursemate, Chu Jie from Teluk Intan. He brought me & my sis out to jalan-jalan & cari makan. Schools everywhere at Teuk Intan. I was surprised with the number of schools exist in a small town like that! I'd never miss to try the famous chee cheong fun there! The Fried Kuey Tiau there was GOOD~~thumbs up! Considered myself lucky coz I get to watch Terminator at the newly open Cinema there.

Chee Cheong Fun, must eat food @ Teluk Intan. The Chee Cheong Fun over there was different from the HK Style Chee Cheong Fun that we used to eat here.

Bethany Home. A Training Centre for Special Needs People.

Brief introduction about Bethany Home. Well, Bethany Home is a training centre for epileptic & intellectually disabled children & adults. It started in the early 1960s by the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Their policy is to encourage and support people with a disability to live within their own families and community. It aims to equip them with skills needed to become as independent as possible and contributing members of that community.

Stayed at Barre I.J Centre throughout the 3 days camp.

Each of the volunteer was appointed to take care of a special 'baby'. This is my 'baby', Kang Cheng Yen, 14, diagnosed with moderate mental retardation.

Me and some of the special kids.

Butterfly Farm @ Cameron Highland.

Visited BOH Tea Plantation. Nice view, tea leaves everywhere.

It's party time! The theme was We Are One, which means we all have to look the same with our 'baby'.

The winner of We Are One. Creative ya..with those fish around.

Volunteers (from German, Korea, Philippines, Japan & different parts of Malaysia) and special children. It was a great experience to get along with them.

Each of them is Special, in their own way. They need LOVE & SUPPORT from us!

Group Photo.

Stopped by at Lata Iskandar Waterfall on the way back to Teluk Intan. Located way up to Cameron Highland. Visitors can see great cascading waterfall view right by the roadside. Love the view so much, so relaxing!

This was the most meaningful and fulfilling camp I'd ever joined. Perhaps this was also the most meaningful things I'd done throughout this sem break. It was totally a different experience from the other camps that I joined before.

This camp is not about enjoying yourself, it's how to make those special child enjoyed themselves as well. It was not about receiving, it was about giving. Give your love & care to these special needs people. It wasn't easy for volunteers like us coz we're not well-trained and we'd to learn to get along with those kids as well. I'd said that it was a new challenge for us.

Special needs people are special in their own way. They certainly need our help & support for them to lead a better life. It is important for us to create a more caring community and accept them into our society. Just give them a hand or even a SMILE. It will be a great help for them!
Singapore Trip
After my trip with coursemates, I continued my journey to Singapore. Accompanied my sister there to interview for her job as her piano teacher. Since I was there already, might as well go jalan-jalan cari makan lo. LOL~The trip to Singapore wasn't a waste coz my sis got through the interview and settled down in Spore already!

Trip with Coursemates
How time flies, it's already end of June now. Which means, sem break is gonna end soon!
Wonder what I'd been doing throughout this 2 months long sem break. Travel a lot, been to many places this time.

Spend the beginning of sem break with my coursemates. My coursemate, Lovena came back Muar together with me while waiting for her flight back to Kuching. We both meet up with the rest of my coursemates and travel around.

Went to Batu Pahat and stayed at Ming Li house. Nothing much in BP, but it was FUN to gather with my coursemates. Anyway, it's not where you go, it's who you be with that matters right?? After that, we continued our adventerous trip to KL and Genting.

Picture shows a thousand words. It's better for me to upload some pictures than typing long post! Hehe..

Chu Jie, Me & Lovena at the basement of Ming Li house.

Sing-k @ In Box Karaoke @ Square One Mall, Batu Pahat. It was the opening of this karaoke the day we went there.

Claypot Chicken Rice & Claypot Noodles. Must eat food at BP!! Located beside the bus stop.

At the entrance of Pavillion, KL.

Went to Genting many times b4 this. The trip was different with coursemates around!

Cool Post + Cold Weather

My favourite picture! Taken on Pirate Ship with Lovena, Ming Li & Mei San.

Ready 4 Space Shot!! My favourite Ride in Genting.

Spin spin Tea Cup. Pening o~

Take a look at this! Old memories. That was me and my sis 13 years ago. How cute I was that time. LOL! On the same tea cup with different painting on it. Theme park doesn't change much over the years!

Can't miss the chance to ride Cable Car at Genting.

BAR B.Q Plaza @ Time Square. Yum Yum~

Lunch @ Seoul Garden. Me & Lovena went Malacca with Kam Yuen & Si Mei the day after we came back from Genting.

Nice shot by Kam Yuen. One of my favourite photo.

After that, Lovena went back to Kuching while I continued my journey to Singapore. Memorable trip with coursemates. Hope to have more trips with them next time!

Satay Celup + Drag Me to Hell
Still in the midst of sem-break, goyang-kaki at home, decided to make a trip to Malacca with Yizong, Jun Bin, Yamei & Lingsi...just to watch movie!!

3 of the 'nothing-to-do girls(Ya Mei, Lingsi & Me)' were busy taking photos & chit-chatting. While Yizong, the driver is driving in front, and Jun Bin sitting on the front sit.

Capitol Satay Celup. The most popular and tasty satay celup in Malacca.

Self service. Take whatever you wanna eat. It costs RM0.70 per stick

Celup the food in the satay kuah!! It's tasty..taste different from the normal Lok Lok at pasar malam

Passed by Capitol Satay Celup on the way to Dataran Pahlawan. Since it's not so crowded during weekdays, so we stopped by and makan. Don't ever miss the chance to taste this satay celup coz the restaurant will be extremely crowded during weekends. People will queue up in front of the restaurant right after it opens and waited patiently to be served.

Waiting for the show. Quickly take photo b4 lights off!!

Watch "Drag Me to Hell", a horror film. I don't think it's horrified enough coz me and my friends can some how watch and scream throughout the show! Horror film turns out to be comedy??LOL! Don't know how to rate this film. Should I rate it as a good film? Well, watching horror film was like riding a roller coaster, with those thrilling parts for you to scream
+ some disgusting scene!! Other than that, you know what to expect with the sound effect behind the movie.
