The Great Singapore Sing-Along
Make a trip to Singapore last week, spend 5 days over there.

My main purpose to Singapore was to attend The Great Singapore Sing-Along concert organize by Cristofori Music Center. Since my sister was one of the staff there, she was offered with 2 free tickets for this concert.

Goodies Bag.

The Great Singapore Sing-Along at Marina Bay Floating Platform. VIPs have to wear either red or white attire.

The view at Marina Bay was nice, especially at night. Singapore Flyer, Esplanade, The Merlion was surrounding you. The breeze from the bay was so cooling.

I was quite surprise and disappointed when I first reach the concert venue. Found out that most of the people attended this concert were all Senior Citizens! Gosh..it would definitely be a boring concert. But as the sing-along started, it wasn't that boring as I thought.

Although the songs they sang was mostly oldies, but I'm quite familiar with all those old songs. Not to say that I'm old, but those songs was really evergreen and unforgettable. Songs by 邓丽君(Teresa Teng) and other 怀旧金曲(Classical Oldies) would be familiar for all.

In fact, these oldies are more lasting and you'll never get tired of listening it. The Sing-Along was kinda long, around 4 hours. I really enjoyed this Sing-Along and I did sing-along throughout the concert.

The Esplanade. Never realized that my Nokia N73 can captured such a nice picture.

Meet up with an old classmate of mine, Cher Soon. He is currently working in Singapore. Hang out at City Hall coz I insisted to find the Merlion. Hahaha...

The Merlion Park @ City Hall.

Took picture with the Merlion. Forced the 2 'Singaporean'(my sis & Cher Soon) to took picture together with the Merlion as well.

The Fullerton Hotel, 5 star boutique hotel located near the mouth of Singapore River.

Funny Cher Soon standing on the spotlight. Hahaha...

There was really nothing much in Singapore besides Shopping Center and some statues.

ION Orchard @ Orchard Road. Newly opened Shopping Center. The nut outside the building reminds me of Ice Age.

Illuma @ Bugis. Yet another newly opened Shopping Center.

Clark Quay. A nice place with restaurants & nightclubs.

Saw this in a Shopping Center. I'm totally agree with it! It's not necessary to follow all the rules.

Phin's beerhouse & grille @ Tampinese Central. Tried the chicken chop only coz the beef steak was expensive.

Watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball in 3D. Watched movie in 3D for the first time. It was cool to see the 3D effect of the movie. However, wearing 2 specs (3D spec + my own spec) at the same time makes me feel uncomfortable.

Quite a nice movie to watch. Very cute and creative. Sometimes, things just didn't work out the way you plan. The invention of something new that you thought it's good may turn out to be harmful in the end.
A Dinner to Evaluate You
Took Penampilan Diri & Etika Sosial 4 my co-curriculum this semester. I expect to learn more 4 this co-cu, but in the end, it was out of my expectation.

We only learned some theories(i.e. how to greet others, attire for formal & informal function, table manners..), nothing much.

In order to evaluate us, we had to attend a formal dinner, that covers 30% for the overall course, just to apply what we'd learned in theory.

In Baju Kebaya. Before heading to the dinner.

Together with Lovena, in her blue Punjabi suit.

Thank Lovena & Chai May 4 styling my hair. Not forgetting KeXin also(don't have a picture together with her), thank her 4 doing the make-up for me.

The dinner was held last thursday, at Dewan Jamuan UTM. It was a buffet dinner.

Everyone in the dining hall was so quite. Looking so tense..so well-behave, trying so hard to pretend!

First time in my life, I ever felt so uncomfatable to had a dinner. Super Un-natural instead of Supernatural. Felt so lost!! Suddenly don't know how to eat, like a baby. Have 2 start learning everything from the beginning.

So many restrcitions. Need to behave well, jaga image, jaga our table manners, need 2 use napkin. So leceh, so troublesome to had a proper meal.

Us, in formal attire.

Foreign students from China.

Foreign students from Africa, if not mistaken.

Together with our humorous lecturer, En. Jais.

The Emperor & his concubines??

When the evaluation was over, the whole atmosphere changed! Everyone was so relax & relief. A Malay girl sat opposite me immediately roll up her sleeves and said: 'Makan dengan tangan saja lar'!! Hahaha...

Now you can see the true colours of everyone.

Just came back from Singapore yesterday. Attended a concert at Marina Bay. Will update more in my coming post. So difficult to on-line recently, totally can't detect WifiUTM.

In the midst of study week now. Finals is coming, but I'm still not in the mood to study! Struggling hard to FOCUS, FOCUS & FOCUS....
No longer Miss
During OOP class last 2 weeks, our lecturer, Miss Zuraifah announced that it would be the last lesson we could call her Miss. Huh?? The whole class was wondering why. Is she leaving??

Right after that, she announced that she's getting married and invited us to her wedding ceremony. WuHoo~1st wedding I'd even attended in UTM.

Today is the day. Attended Miss Zuraifah's wedding ceremony @ Rumah Alumni in UTM.

Our sweet & pretty lecturer.

Raja Sehari

Did u realised that this is a bunch of bunga telur?

Cake cutting ceremony

Group photo with Raja Sehari. Waited patiently throughout the ceremony for this moment.

It was quite a grand Malay wedding I'd ever attended. I used to attend those Malay wedding at the 'kampung' place, where all the 'jiran' gathered to 'gotong-royong'.

Congratulation Miss! May you have a blissful & happy life after marriage.

At last, I guess me & my coursemates have to remind ourselves to greet our dearest lecturer as Mrs. Zuraifah instead of Miss Zuraifah! She's no longer a Miss.

During Raya Break
I'd received some comments from my friends saying that 80% of the content in my blog were all about FOOD!

WHO CARES!! We eat to live & live to eat! Good food are meant to be shared right???

It had almost been a week after the Raya break. Break was definitely a time to gather with friends and family, since everyone was back to hometown.

Had so many gathering with different group of friends during that week. Bak Kut Teh for breakfast, lunch at food court, went Malay friends house for visiting, played badmintion etc etc...

One of the gathering with friends @ Zense Cafe.

My sister was back from Singapore and she brought back lotz of good stuffs this time! Everything tastes tastier when there's someone to share & grab with you!!

Four Seasons Durian Mooncake.

Yamazaki Cream Puff.

Cup Cake

Family. It was not easy to get everyone around.

Make a trip to Melaka with family...the traffic was heavy during Raya break! Guess everyone had no other place to hang out in Muar, saw lotz of Johor cars in Melaka.

1st time sitting in the car where my sister was driving.

Welcome to Melaka

Cendol opposite the Red House. Finally get to try the cendol from this stall. It was always closed whenever I wanted to try it!

Bought this Lego Set for my younger brother as his birthday gift in advance. Can't believe that this box of Lego costs RM270!!

Small tiny little pieces of Lego in a BIG box.

The transformation of those small pieces into a complete set in my brother's hands. Worth buying anyway.

This was interesting. Saw this banner while waiting for the traffic light.

Cambodia maid - 99% no escape?

I wonder how would they guaranteed that the maid won't escape? Chained them & lock them in a cage? Or maybe keep their passport? However, there is still 1% that the maid will escape. No 100% guarantee!
