Conquering the Cat City (Part 1)
Just came back from Kuching Trip wif my coursemates. It was overall a FUN & ENJOYABLE trip. Visited lotz of places and tried lotz of food. Although the weather condition wasn't that perfect, but it didn't affect our trip much. Gonna divide my Kuching Trip into several posts as there are tOOoo many things & pictures to share throughout the week.

Booked the air ticket to Kuching during the 0 fare promotion in February. The air ticket to and forth to JB and Kuching cost only RM63, which is very cheap! No wonder AirAsia came out with the slogan - Now Everyone Can Fly. Hahaha...

I was informed that my flight time was changed 1 week b4 my trip to Kuching. Both the to and forth flight time was delayed! This certainly brings inconvenience to me.

-Day 1-

Met a few Muarian that is currently pursuing their degree at UTM. Hui Min & Jing Ying (QS Students) and also Sock Fei & Yi Chyi (Marketing Students) at Senai Airport. What a coincidence, they were in the same flight as me to Kuching. Didn't know that Muarian like to visit Kuching that much. Hehe..

At Senai International Airport, b4 heading to Kuching.

It wasn't very comfortable to sit in the plane coz the space was kinda narrow. The seats in an express bus is much more comfortable.

View from the plane.

This visiting pass is required for those from Penisular Malaysia. This pass needs to be kept and must be shown at the Immigration Counter in order to leave Sawarak. I was wondering, aren't we from the same country? Why do we need a pass to travel within the same country?

Visiting pass to Sarawak. Permitted to enter & remain in Sarawak for 90 days from the date shown above.

Arrived at Kuching around 8pm. Lovena's parents and aunt came and pick us up at the airport. Had dinner together at 101 Food Court. Later on, Lovena brought us around to see some big houses before going back to her house. That was all for the first day.

-Day 2-

Visited Lovena's School after breakfast.

St. Joseph's School Kuching.

St. Joseph's Catheral, Kuching. A Church right opposite St. Joseph School.

The Civic Centre (The "Big Umbrella")

Can see the entire Kuching Town from the top of the Civic Centre.

Visited some of the museums including The Natural History Museum, Art Museum, The Sawarak Museum. A trip to the museum will give you an idea on the culture & heritage of Sarawak.

The Natural History Museum, Art Museum, The Sawarak Museum.

Later at night...

Cat Hunt at Town Area

Walked all the way to the waterfront after taking pictures with the Cat Statues. Planned to play bowling at first, but ended up at The Waterfront. Thanks to our organizer with her 'strategic' plan.

Us with the hornbill water fountain behind.

The story of The Mousedeer & The Crocodile carved on the wall. Nice carving. Found it toward the end of the Waterfront.

TO BE CONTINUED....
